We held a public consultation on our proposals from 17 April to 8 May 2025 and invited residents, stakeholders, and interested parties to engage with the consultation and submit feedback on our proposals.
Feedback could be submitted via the following methods:

We will now consider the feedback received and produce two consultation reports which respond to the key issues raised. Each report will be submitted alongside the respective planning applications.
The closing date for your feedback was 23:59 on 8 May 2025.
Timeline
- October 2019: End of speedway racing at the Abbey Stadium
- 2023 to 2025: Early survey and design work
- March 2025: Gaming International announces closure of greyhound racing, taking effect from 30 December 2025.
- April to May 2025: Stakeholder engagement and public consultation.
- Late Spring/Early Summer 2025: Targeted submission of planning applications to Swindon Borough Council.
- Late 2025/Early 2026: Anticipated decision on applications by Swindon Borough Council.
